We are leveraging our experience and expertise to develop a more responsible business. We have set ourselves an important goal:
To become an acknowledged leader in this sector in the way we manage our corporate responsibility. This commitment is endorsed by our Management Board and shareholders who are closely involved in running the business and by employees across the group.
1. We are well aware that we do require a social licence to run our business in the various regions we are active.
2. We are a company specialising in Oil Exports and Trading. This involves logistics of moving large volumes of potentially dangerous or polluting materials around the world. We are highly mindfulof this fact, and take adequate steps to the management of Health, Safety, Environment and Community (HSEC) risks through systematic and rigorous approach. This applies to both operations that are under our direct control and in our selection of contracting partners.
3. Our partners rightly require assurance that we operate to the highest standards. Demonstrating leadership in responsibility will support the development of our business and enhance our access to capital and liquidity. With respect to this fact, we are highly satisfied with the performance we have made so far, and this, undoubtedly will help secure us a competitive advantage.
Different products of Trolieum have distinctive challenges and priorities across the HSEC and compliance agenda. All are required to be implemented, measured and performance reported against the priorities and targets agreed at Group and operating levels.
